With 30 years of woodworking experience and living in Eugene, OR, I take a lot of pride in doing my custom woodworking projects locally. From dog beds to patio covers, I can build just about anything with wood. My prices are fair and I make sure to lay out expectations from the beginning – and do so in an efficient and timely manner.

It’s crazy for me to think that when I started my business 10 years ago, that I’d be here today doing this full time. I wouldn’t be where I am today without my Redwood family!
It all started back when I was working at Redwood Northwest. Tom Christian and his son Chuck Christian (and Chuck’s wife Karen Christian) took me in and made me part of their family. I had a ton of bills and was struggling to make ends meet. Tom noticed my struggle, and offered to let me build Arbors to sell at Redwood Northwest.

I would work a full 9-hour day, then I’d start on my arbors and other custom projects after regular work hours and on the weekends. People would come in the store and ask about custom builds and Tom would send them over to talk to me. Mind you, I never really built anything before I worked at Redwood Northwest – but Tom pushed me and made me better. He gave me advice, ideas, and kept sending work my way. Not only did he teach me the fundamentals of building, but he taught me business. He always explained the what, where, when, why, and how – All along grooming me to do exactly what I’m doing today. He helped make me the woodworker I am today.

With the help of Tom, his family, and his business, I had found my passion. Leaving Redwood Northwest was one of the hardest decisions I have made. Luckily, I’m still there almost every day picking up lumber.
